FAQ

Straight answers on what the pieces are made of, how they are marked and certified, and how an order works.

01 — Materials & hallmarks

Materials & hallmarks

What metals do you use?

Solid platinum 950 and solid 18k gold. The Bandor Coin is struck in solid 22k gold. Solid metal throughout, never plated or filled.

Our gold is Dubai gold, from a market recognized worldwide for its purity and quality.

Which hallmarks does my piece carry?

Every piece is stamped with the fineness mark of its metal: 950 for platinum, 750 for 18k gold, 916 for the 22k gold Coin. Two-tone pieces carry both marks.

Next to it sits the serial number of your piece, engraved. The same number appears on your certificate of authenticity. Pieces are made and hallmarked in Dubai.

Are the stones natural? Are they treated?

All our stones are natural. None are lab-grown or synthetic.

  • Black diamonds are natural diamonds whose black colour is obtained by treatment, the standard for black diamonds in fine jewelry.
  • Rubies and sapphires are heated, the traditional treatment that brings out their colour, accepted throughout the trade.

Our diamonds are sourced in line with the Kimberley Process, and every stone is ethically sourced. See Our Commitments.

Where are the pieces made?

Designed and made to order in Dubai by master jewelers, and hand-finished. Work on your piece starts once your order is confirmed. Because each piece is made by hand, minor variation in stones, finish and tone is expected. It is the signature of the piece, not a defect.

02 — Authenticity & provenance

Authenticity & provenance

Does my piece come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. A certificate of authenticity comes with every piece. It states the serial number, the metal and its fineness, the stones, and the edition, matching the marks engraved on the piece itself.

Each piece is also serialized on-chain as an ERC-721 record. Certificate and record are meant to travel with the piece if it ever changes hands.

What does "numbered edition" mean?

Every piece is individually numbered and made to order. The number is engraved on the piece and stated on its certificate. Editions are limited by design; we don't publish counts.

Is Bandor an official BAYC licensee?

Yes. Bandor's use of Bored Ape Yacht Club elements is licensed under Made by Apes license #00612007423. The license certificate is available on request through our contact page.

Is Bandor a registered company?

Yes. Bandor is operated by Bandor Management FZCO, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates (IFZA, Dubai), Trade License No. 30875. A copy of the trade license certificate is available on request through our contact page. Full details on our Legal Notice.

How do I know a message from Bandor is genuine?

We write to the email address you ordered with, and you can always reach us through our contact page. We never send a wallet address, a payment link or a certificate by DM on Discord, Telegram, X or Instagram. An unsolicited message of that kind is a scam.

03 — Orders, shipping & returns

Orders, shipping & returns

How long until I receive my piece?

Production takes 3 to 4 weeks from order confirmation, then your piece ships fully insured by express courier. Numbered and limited editions may take longer; the estimated window is shown on each product page. We email you when your piece enters production and again when it ships.

Will I pay duties or taxes on delivery?

No. We ship Delivered Duty Paid to every market we sell to: the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE, among others. Duties and taxes are settled at checkout, with nothing left to pay when the courier hands over your piece.

A short list of countries doesn't allow duties to be prepaid. If yours is one of them, we tell you before your piece ships. Details on Shipping & Returns.

Can I cancel or return my order?

You can cancel at no cost within 72 hours of ordering, provided production hasn't started. After that, made-to-order pieces are final sale: each piece is crafted to your specifications and numbered.

Your statutory rights on faulty or misdescribed goods always remain, and our 14-day craftsmanship warranty covers any defect on arrival. See Repairs & Warranties.

I'm between two sizes. What do I do?

Have your finger measured by a local jeweler, ideally at the end of the day. Between two sizes, take the larger one. US sizes are used across the site. If the fit still isn't right once the ring arrives, see Repairs & Warranties.

How can I pay?

By card at checkout. To pay in cryptocurrency, contact us: we confirm the available options in writing, with a USD quote, and share a wallet address only through our official contact channel, never by DM. Crypto refunds are made in the currency you paid in, to the originating wallet.

Can I personalize a piece?

Personalization is reserved for BAYC holders and based on their ape, case by case. Contact us with the piece you have in mind.

04 — Care

Care

How do I care for my piece?

Platinum and 18k gold don't tarnish. Brushed finishes soften with wear; that is how they are meant to age.

  • Store it on its own, away from other jewelry.
  • Take it off for sport, swimming and household chemicals. Keep pavé settings away from knocks.
  • Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, then dry with a soft cloth.
  • If a stone ever works loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.
